There are many exciting things to do at the Museum, with something fun for everyone in the family!

The whole family can get involved with our activity backpacks and museum ‘mission sheets’ available from the front desk. You can also test yourself with our fun interactive exhibits – can you decipher a Morse code message? Are you strong enough to carry a soldier’s backpack from the First World War?

We run holiday workshops, as well as other regular drop-in activities! Be sure to check our Events page for the latest details.

We also have baby changing facilities, and we are easily accessible from near by car parks. Our location is close proximity to Bitts Park which hosts two car parks.  The main Carlisle city council car park is to the side of Carlisle castle just off the dual carriageway.
