Who We Are
Originally set up in 2004, the Friends aim to organise and run events not only to make the public more aware of the museum, but also to raise funds for alterations and for the purchase of new acquisitions and equipment.
The Benefit of being a Friend
Members of the Friends enjoy free access to the Museum (including all temporary exhibitions) and invitations to a variety of events, some at the Castle and others elsewhere in the county. Once a year there is a Members Evening at the museum at which there will, in particular, be an opportunity to see and discuss recent acquisitions. Members are kept in touch during the year by newsletter.
