Opening times:
Joint Tickets for Carlisle Castle and the Museum must be booked on the English Heritage website
April – October: Open daily 10am – 5pm
12th November – 15th February: Open weekends only, 10am – 4pm (closed 26th December)
20th February – 31st March: Open 10am – 4pm (closed Fridays)
Free Entry
Friends of the Museum can visit the Museum for free but must conact the museum to book their visit please telephone 01228 532774 or email: enquiries@cmoml.org
Accessibility
We have good access to the Museum, with all our main collections housed on the ground floor. There are no steps into the entrance. Any temporary exhibitions are on the upper level which is accessed by a staircase. If required we do have a wheelchair stair lift but it is advisable to phone ahead if needed to enquire further details.
How to find us
We are located within the walls of Carlisle Castle on the North side of Carlisle City Centre; a short walk from the railway and bus station.
By road from North, East and South M6 Junction 43 & 44; A595 from the West.
