Condition as new no 89 has RHQ copy in red on title page no 278 is mint condition.

The author tells the story of the raising and disbanding of the Lonsdale Battalion, inspired by his visit to the Somme Battlefields and to the Lonsdale Cemetery, where lie hundreds of Pals from the towns and villages of Cumberland and Westmorland. The book includes numerous illustrations and a roll of honour and other statistics. There is also an envelope inside the rear cover containing a card “Are you a Man or Are You a Mouse” Signed by the author These are  No 278 and No 89 0f just 600 copies
