Volunteer
The Museum is always looking for that little bit of extra help
Interested in history? Or just want to do something with your time? Contact us and we’ll see if we can work out a program that benefits you as much as us.
As part of our Remembrance exhibitions this year we are looking for additional support in the following areas:
Gallery and Front of House (PRIORITY ROLE)
Additional support required during ‘the Weeping Window’ tour between 23rd May and 8th July. Also, assistance with our Remembrance exhibitions during the year.
For more information about front of house roles, please click here
Veteran’s Lunch Club
From July we will be establishing a monthly Veteran’s Lunch Club at the Museum – can you help?
Exhibitions Installation and dismantling
Volunteers who are happy to help build our exhibitions – ie. hang paintings, paint panels – and assist with the dismantling afterwards.
Workshops
Help with Community workshops around the county and holiday workshops during the summer. Would suit someone who is happy to work with families.
Events
Support with one-off events such as Armed Forces Day or our ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ days working with a member of Museum staff .
Evaluation
Are you comfortable talking to people and asking them questions? We will be using computer tablets to ask about our event and activities this year and we need your support!
Oral History
We want to add to our archive and build up a bank of oral histories preserving the past. Full training will be given and you will work with a member of staff.
