Operation Slapstick

Operation Slapstick was the code name for the British sea landing at the Italian port of Taranto during the Second World War. The unusual element of the aquatic assault is that it was undertaken by Airborne units.

Peter is the son of Alan Green, 1st Battalion The Border Regiment, who was one of the authors of When Dragons Flew. He has published an account of the last days of two prison camps in Germany that held officers from 1st Airborne and is now researching the management of men captured at Arnhem.
