Our popular Food and History Evenings return to Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, this time covering North Africa and the Mediterranean.

The Regiment’s connections to North Africa and the Mediterranean include both times of war, and peace. Places such as Malta, Gallipoli, Sicily, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Algeria became familiar locations to the men that served with the Border Regiment and later the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment.

Historian Stuart Eastwood will talk about these Regimental connections and explain more about the history behind these postings.

Chef John Crouch will cook some fantastic dishes local to the region and fascinating insight into the history of the food he prepares.

The event last year sold out, so book you tickets now to avoid missing out!
