Tom is retired teacher, local historian and secretary of the Carlisle History Group. Tom is fascinated by Border history, and he finds no topic more intriguing than the story of James IV.
James was well on the way to becoming the greatest Stewart monarch when he invaded England in 1513. Appearing to have every advantage victory seemed assured yet his campaign collapsed resulting in a massacre for his soldiers.
