Katyn 1940: The Story of a Massacre

In this talk, Max will tell the story of the mass murder of around 22,000 Polish POWs by the Soviets in the Katyn forest in 1940. Max will tell this story by focussing on the individual stories of some of the victims from captivity to execution, before discussing the discovery and exhumation of the mass graves by the Germans in 1943 as well as the wider ramifications of the massacre and its legacy.
