This talk shows the effort of ordinary people who actively tried to help ordinary soldiers overseas and relieve the suffering of the wounded brought back to the UK. There were over 2000 people directly involved in helping the injured and hundreds of others, often in groups producing items and parcels for the fighting troops and POWs
